Travis Kelce slammed by devastated Democrats for ‘poorly-timed’ Instagram post: ‘Read the room’
Travis Kelce has taken to social media for posting a series of photos to his Instagram account as much of the country mourned the outcome of the 2024 presidential election.
Kelce didn’t support either candidate ahead of Election Day, but his girlfriend Taylor Swift was in Kamala Harris’ camp and was disappointed by Tuesday’s outcome, which saw Donald Trump seal a return to the White House.
The Chiefs superstar ruffled a few feathers an hour after the results were announced, taking to his Instagram account to share some photos from Monday night’s win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
While the photos themselves weren’t controversial at all, the timing seemed to be, with the comments section quickly being flooded with fans.
“Read the room Travis,” one wrote, while another added, “Travis, not now, we are grieving.”

Democrats took to the comments to tell Kelce that he shouldn’t have posted after the election
Another Kelce fan added, “bb love you but it feels like maybe this could have been posted on a different day than today.”
Trump fans also quickly found their way to the comments section to grill Kelce and Swift, despite the tight end not revealing his political allegiances either way.
The photos show Kelce in his last impressive performance on the NFL field, where he racked up 14 catches on 16 targets for exactly 100 yards.

It was the first time this season he had reached triple digits, and despite not getting a touchdown, it was his most productive outing of the season so far.
The Chiefs ultimately ran out 30-24 winners in overtime, continuing their record as the only undefeated team in the NFL this season.
It’s unclear whether Swift stayed with Kelce in Kansas City throughout Election Day, and she still hasn’t broken her silence since Trump’s victory.
