Travis Kelce sets his golden rule for marrying Taylor Swift – and it could delay the wedding of the century
Travis Kelce plans to hold off on proposing to Taylor Swift until the couple has a prenuptial agreement.
Swift is a billionaire, largely thanks to her hugely successful Eras Tour, while Kelce, a three-time Super Bowl winner, has an estimated net worth of around $70 million.
The couple began dating last year and went public with their romance when Swift showed up at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City to watch Kelce play for the Chiefs, sitting next to his mother, Donna, before the game last September.
Now, according to a source quoted by Life and StyleThe couple is ready to take the next step, but Kelce doesn’t want to start the relationship until the financial terms of a potential split are settled.
“This is a lot further along than Taylor and Travis are willing to admit, as they have considered themselves unofficially engaged for a while now and are both 100 percent committed to spending the rest of their lives together and starting a family,” the source said.

‘The formalities get in the way because of their schedules, and also the logistics surrounding the marriage contract, which of course is made even more complicated because of the large sums of money involved on both sides.
“Taylor just wouldn’t walk down the aisle without a prenuptial agreement. They both want it done before Travis gets down on one knee.”
Swift cheered on Kelce in 13 NFL games last season, including last year’s Super Bowl. During his NFL offseason, he traveled to several of her tour dates around the world.
Kelce, 34, signed a new two-year contract with the Chiefs before the start of training camp this year, worth about $17 million per season.
He is also reportedly in talks for a new deal for his podcast New Heights, which he co-hosts with his older brother Jason. The deal is worth around $100 million.
Swift is currently in London, where she concludes her four-month European tour with a series of performances at Wembley Stadium.
She is expected to be back at Arrowhead when Kelce and the Chiefs open the NFL season on Sept. 5 against the Baltimore Ravens.

Kelce and the Chiefs have a chance to make NFL history this season by becoming the first team ever to win three consecutive Super Bowl titles.
While Swift still has games in the United States and Canada before the end of the year, some of which will coincide with Chiefs games, she plans to attend as many as possible.
Kelce even decided to update his kitchen so Swift can spend more time in his $6 million Kansas City mansion, as she loves to cook.
Earlier this week, Patrick Mahomes claimed that Swift was the reason Kelce recently grew his hair out.
As part of a broader response about his team in an interview with NFL Radio, Mahomes said, “You got the old man (Kelce). I tried to let him grow his hair out and all of a sudden Taylor lets him do it.”
