Travis Kelce sends Taylor Swift wild by taking an historic catch for Patrick Mahomes to set another Chiefs record

Travis Kelce drove Taylor Swift crazy in the stands at Arrowhead Stadium after he helped Patrick Mahomes make history again for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Mahomes picked off tight end Kelce on a 23-yard pass in the second quarter. It was Kelce’s first big moment of the game, but it was a historic one for Mahomes.

With his 23 yards, Mahomes is the all-time passing leader in Chiefs history, surpassing Hall of Famer Len Dawson.

When Kelce catches the ball, Swift jumps from her seat, as does Kelce’s mother, Donna, who sat next to her during Thursday night’s 27-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens.

By Kelce’s impeccable standards, it was a quieter game than usual on opening night, but his team pulled out a crucial win against top-tier opponents to take the first step toward a potential three-peat.

Mahomes needed just 84 yards to surpass Dawson, who had 28,507 yards with the Chiefs, in the second quarter when he found Kelce.

Dawson, a seven-time Pro Bowl quarterback, played 14 of his 19 NFL seasons with the Chiefs franchise (including one season with the Dallas Texans, who moved to Kansas City and became the Chiefs in 1963). He was selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1987.

Mahomes is in his seventh season as Kansas City’s starting quarterback after playing in just one game as a rookie in 2017.

He has been selected to the Pro Bowl six times, won two MVP awards and led the team to three Super Bowl titles since being the franchise’s 10th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Swift, meanwhile, was back at Arrowhead after cheering on Kelce and the Chiefs in 13 games last season as they won their second straight Super Bowl title.

She was not seen next to Brittany Mahomes, Patrick’s wife, despite them cheering on the Chiefs together at several games last season.

This came after Brittany publicly declared her support for Donald Trump to win the election later this year. This stance stands in stark contrast to Swift’s, who said she supported Hillary Clinton over Trump in the 2016 election.
