Travis Kelce says Taylor Swift and his family ‘give me a reason to push that much harder’ as he reflects on his emotional celebrations in Baltimore after reaching the Super Bowl

Travis Kelce says Taylor Swift and his family have inspired him to fight harder than ever on the field for the Kansas City Chiefs this season.

Kelce spoke Friday in Kansas City as his team ramped up preparations for the Feb. 11 Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers.

He reflected on last week’s emotional scenes as his family and Swift celebrated with him on the field in Baltimore after beating the Ravens to reach another Super Bowl.

“It’s just another reminder of the journey to cherish, man,” Kelce said. “I’m fortunate that I get all the support I need off the field and it gives me a reason to play a lot harder, the people you just mentioned.”

Swift stood on the field alongside his parents, Donna and Ed, and his older brother Jason as they celebrated the Chiefs winning the AFC Championship with a sensational performance against the Ravens – favored by many to beat the Chiefs and then win the Super Bowl to win. .

Kelce and the Chiefs are now preparing to play the 49ers in Vegas on February 11

Jason was heard telling Travis to “finish this motherfucker” as they hugged on the field, with the Eagles man even wearing a Chiefs hat to cheer on his brother.

Kelce scored an early touchdown in the game to set the tone for the Chiefs, surpassing Jerry Rice’s record of 151 postseason receptions as the game progressed – another notable honor in a season unlike any other for the tight end.

In addition to his luck off the field, Kelce also credited his beard with the Chiefs finding their stride and getting into shape at the right time of the season.

“I didn’t start doing this until the end of the season and we started playing our best ball,” Kelce said with a grin. “I just rode it through the playoffs, man.”

Kelce and his team land in Vegas on Sunday evening and begin seven days of preparation for the biggest night on the American sports calendar.

Swift is expected to be at the competition, but she will begin touring again next week with four nights in Tokyo, Japan.

Her last night is Saturday, but the 17-hour time difference works to her advantage as she returns to the West Coast of the United States.
