Travis Kelce reveals inside story of Taylor Swift Eras Tour Wembley appearance – and says he wanted to go out at a DIFFERENT part of the show!
Travis Kelce has revealed what was discussed with girlfriend Taylor Swift that led to his shock appearance at her Eras Tour show in London.
Kelce surprised 90,000 fans by walking onto the Wembley Stadium stage as Swift’s backup dancer with her performance of ‘I Can Do It With a Broken Heart’.
And now, on Wednesday’s episode of New Heights, the Super Bowl winner reveals how that moment came about.
“It’s not my thing, I don’t like being on stages,” Travis said sarcastically as his brother Jason quizzed him about the moment.
“I told Tay about it first, but I thought, ‘How funny would it be if I rode one of the bikes from the 1989 era?’ She started laughing and asked, ‘Would you really want to do something like that?’

Kelce said he was relieved he didn’t let Swift down after taking the stage at Wembley
“I thought, ‘What? I’d like to do that, huh?’ I’ve seen enough of the show, so I might as well put myself to work here.
“She actually found the perfect part of the show for me to get into. No bike, in case I hit someone else or hit one of the dancers. That was the safest option.”
Travis joined backup dancers Kameron Saunders and Jan Ravnik onstage to “bring Taylor back to life” during the interlude between her performance of “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” and “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart.” Jason admitted that it’s his new favorite song because everyone can relate to it.
“It’s such a fun, playful part of the show,” Travis added of the pantomime skit between two songs from her latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”
“It was the perfect moment for me to stand there and have some fun, with her and the audience. It was amazing. It was a blast, I had so much fun. It was an honor to be on stage, obviously with Taylor but also with Kam and Jan.
Kam’s brother, NFL defensive tackle Khalen Saunders, played four seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs and Travis, winning two Super Bowls before signing as a free agent with the New Orleans Saints last year.
“Just one of my favorite teammates of all time,” Travis said of Khalen. “So, to be able to rock the court with him and now rock the stage with his brother.”
“I’ve always been a fan of dancers,” he continued. “I’m a big fan of backup dancers, they keep things moving. I’m a team player. I do it so everyone has fun.

“I’ve seen the show so many times now that I find myself doing the choreography in the audience. It’s fun to play along. That they’re open to it and helping me and looking like a professional, that was great.”
Kelce had to carry Swift to the back of the stage during his performance, and he said that was when he felt most nervous.
“The only thing I told myself was ‘don’t drop the baby.’ Don’t drop Taylor when you’re walking across this bench. The golden rule,” he said, as Jason laughed, before comparing carrying her to holding the football in a game.
‘Coach (Eric) Bieniemy always said, “That ball has our dreams, goals and aspirations – you don’t drop that ball.” Kudos to EB.’
His brother Jason accompanied Travis to one of Swift’s three London shows, but missed his brother’s shocking performance as he was en route to the United States.
“You did an amazing job,” Jason said. “I wish I could have been there. I loved seeing the joy that everyone had on stage. It was so cool to see it happen.”
“What I liked most was the joy that everyone had on stage – you, Kam, I mean, Kam is always having fun.

Kelce admitted he loved rocking the stage and field with both brothers
“The picture of you looking at Tay, and just that smile from ear to ear. It was so fun to see, I wish I could have been there.”
Travis admitted that the cheers he gets from Arrowhead Stadium for a touchdown last a little longer, but he was still surprised by the Eras Tour crowd at Wembley.
“It took a moment for everyone to catch on and then they turned the camera on me, Kam and Jan, the three of us coming on stage. That moment was quite shocking,” he said.
Travis continued, “You don’t realize how big that stage is. It’s way bigger than I ever imagined. I was like, ‘I feel small here.’ It was amazing and I didn’t let Taylor down, and that’s all that matters.”
