Travis Kelce returns to Chiefs practice as girlfriend Taylor Swift plays a huge sold out show in Scotland on the latest stop of her Eras Tour

Travis Kelce returned to practice for the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday, while girlfriend Taylor Swift played a big show in Scotland as her Eras Tour made its first stop in the United Kingdom.

For Kelce, there was a poignant mood around the Chiefs camp after his teammate, BJ Thompson, went into cardiac arrest following a seizure during a team meeting on Thursday.

Thompson, 25, is reportedly awake and is now in the hospital. The Chiefs canceled Thursday’s practice in the wake of the shocking events.

Kelce, 34, was pictured with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in Kansas City on Friday. Next week, the Chiefs will hold a mandatory mini-camp from June 11-13 as the Super Bowl champions ramp up their preparations for the new season.

With his football commitments increasing again, Kelce has less time to join Swift as she tours Europe – with her current run of dates running until August 20 across the continent.

His girlfriend Taylor Swift played the first of three sold-0

Friday night marked the first of three sold-out shows Swift played at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield – the 67,000-seat stadium is home to the Scottish rugby team.

She then heads to Liverpool to play at Anfield, the iconic football stadium, before stops in Cardiff, London and Dublin.

Kelce could technically head to Liverpool next week after the Chiefs mini-camp as she still plays for two days after his training ends. While his current plans to join her are unclear, he has previously said that he will be with her around the world during the offseason.

The Chiefs open their NFL season on Thursday, September 5 at Arrowhead Stadium against the Baltimore Ravens.

Kelce and his team are attempting to win a historic third straight Super Bowl following their February victory in Las Vegas against the San Francisco 49ers.

The year before, Kelce and the Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles, for whom his older brother Jason played.
