Travis Kelce opens up on his new career as a Hollywood actor and admits he ‘feels like an amateur’ on set – but is just glad he didn’t get FIRED after the first week

Travis Kelce still doesn’t believe Ryan Murphy didn’t “fire” him from his upcoming FX series, Grotesquerie.
The Kansas City Chiefs star has been busy all season, most recently starring in Glee co-creator’s new horror show.
“It was so much fun,” Travis told his brother, Jason Kelce, on Wednesday’s episode of the New Heights Podcast.
“I feel like a jabroni, I feel like an amateur, but I haven’t been fired yet,” he continued. “They didn’t tell me to kick rocks after the first week.”
The tight end said he didn’t want to “give too much away” about the plot, but described the series as “quite a mystery.”

“Everyone has been so helpful in putting me at ease and giving me the direction I need and the coaching I need to play this role,” he continued.
“I’m just taking it scene by scene and making sure I remember my lines… I’m really excited about this.”
The three-time Super Bowl star, who previously gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at his time on set with Niecy Nash-Betts, said he was “blown away” that Murphy gave him such a “big role.”

“I just take it scene by scene and make sure I remember my lines,” Travis explained

“I can’t thank him enough for this opportunity. “I’m sure there are actors who would die if they got the chance to work with Ryan, and I get that in my first ever gig… hopefully I don’t screw it up,” he added. his voice trailed off.
In a social media clip posted by Nash-Betts, Travis was seen hugging Murphy after shooting a scene.
“You were amazing,” said the American Horror Story creator.
“I’m just glad I didn’t hurt anyone,” Kelce replied, laughing.
The 34-year-old made his acting debut when he hosted Saturday Night Live in March 2023. starred in the reality dating series Catching Kelce in 2016.
