Travis Kelce helped the Kansas City Chiefs move one step closer to the Super Bowl when he made an incredible catch and scored the team’s first touchdown of the AFC Championship game on Sunday.

The Chiefs play the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium in what is the final playoff game of January before next month’s spectacle, and the tight end put the first points on the board for the reigning champions, opposite his girlfriend Taylor Swift .

With just over seven minutes left in the first quarter, Kelce battled the coverage of Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton and hauled in a 19-yard touchdown pass. It took just 10 plays, 86 yards and 5:45 minutes in the first quarter for Kansas City to draw first blood.

And as Patrick Mahomes raced to the end zone to celebrate with Kelce, the cameras panned to the VIP suite where Swift watched with pure joy.

The pop star could be seen screaming, “Oh my god,” as her group of famous friends went wild around her.

The singer, who has been to many of her NFL beau’s games this season, initially looked stunned with her mouth wide open before rallying behind her friend’s early impressive performance.

Kelce is aiming to record his second multi-touchdown game of the season after being on the receiving end of two of them in the Chiefs’ AFC Divisional Round win against the Buffalo Bills. In that game, the 34-year-old was found five times on six targets, recording a total of 75 yards on top of his two touchdowns.

Kelce finished with four receptions for 42 receiving yards and a touchdown near the end of the first quarter against the Ravens on Sunday.

Before kickoff, the eight-time Pro Bowler was seen throwing Justin Tucker’s helmet and telling the Ravens kicker to move because he was getting in the way of Mahomes’ pre-game warm-up routine.

Kelce also showed a peace sign to Chiefs fans upon his arrival at M&T Bank Stadium, when he donned a similar all-black outfit to the one he wore when the team’s plane landed in Baltimore on Saturday.

Ahead of this weekend’s game, Kelce insisted that he and Taylor “can’t listen to the outside noise” as their romance continues to blossom, although he admits to bringing his own.

β€œIt would be foolish to say I haven’t noticed the increase,” he said when asked about his increased fame during Friday’s news conference.

β€œI think the Super Bowl helped with that and obviously the way I live my life off the field helps too,” he added with a sly smile. β€œBut I have myself to blame for this and I like to have fun with it and make sure my focus is here in this building.”
