Travis Kelce took a trip — or rather, drive — down memory lane on Wednesday when he made a cheeky nod to his first public outing with Taylor Swift.
The world is now no stranger to the romance of the NFL star and pop sensation, having witnessed their high-profile relationship take the NFL by storm and dominate headlines as they galloped on countless date nights around the world.
But before racing around the world to make it to the Super Bowl and wow the Eras Tour performances on stage, Travis and Taylor first rocked the world with their blockbuster love story in Arrowhead.
After the singer attended a Chiefs game for the first time on September 25, 2023 – confirming the romance rumors – the couple was spotted literally riding off into the sunset in his vintage drop-top.
The lovebirds escaped from Arrowhead in Travis’ ’71 Chevelle, which was hailed as the “American equivalent of the Royal Wedding.”
And while discussing his most recent arrival at the home of the Kansas City Chiefs in a refurbished ’69 Chevelle SS with brother Jason on their New Heights podcast, the tight end couldn’t resist a return to the getaway car.

“I love it,” Jason began, referring to the converted all-electric vintage vehicle transformed by the kids at Travis’s Ignition Lab that he drove to Sunday’s game.
“They converted these vehicles to electric, they converted my truck to electric… and one of the things we got to see was that all-electric Chevelle. How did that feel? It’s pretty spicy, it’s cool as fuck.’
“That thing is nice, cool,” Travis chimed in. “It’s hard for a big guy like me to get into those old cars if you don’t pull the seats back, but man, that thing is sweet.”
“Those vintage cars are so damn cool, I think I have a ’71 Chevelle that some people may have seen me drive before, but this thing was one of a kind,” he added as he tossed it. back to his date night at Chevelle with Taylor.
“The kids did incredibly well, it was a smooth ride to the stadium.”
The three-time Super Bowl winner headed to the Kansas City Chiefs’ Sunday Night Football game against division rivals the Los Angeles Chargers in a ’69 Chevelle SS with a special hidden meaning.

The renovated car features a large 2016 Tesla Model S rear drive, combined with an 87 kWh battery pack, which delivers impressive electrical power.
It also features modern conveniences such as power windows and locks, upgraded air conditioning and a Dakota Digital Dash instrument cluster that seamlessly integrates the vehicle’s electric system while retaining the charm of the original design.
A 1200-watt Bluetooth stereo system with hands-free voice-activated options is the final highlight on the wheels to ensure a premium audio experience.
In 2020, Kelce purchased land to build a STEM facility for high school students at Operation Breakthrough.
Kelce’s Eighty-Seven & Running Foundation partnered with the organization years ago and launched the Ignition Lab in August 2020.
It houses a digital media lab, an automotive and engineering lab, and its own food truck run by culinary arts students.
