Travis Kelce showed off his Hollywood acting chops by doing a hilarious Patrick Mahomes impersonation on the sidelines of the Kansas City Chiefs game on Saturday.
Both Kelce and Mahomes previously went viral for the quarterback’s incredible behind-the-back pass to his friend and teammate during pre-season play against the Detroit Lions.
While many thought it was straight out of Andy Reid’s playbook, Mahomes admitted after the game that he was “pissed off” with Kelce and that he only threw the pass because the tight end ran the wrong route.
To be fair, Kelce was then given the right to respond. He responded with a hilarious Kermit the Frog-style imitation of Mahomes.
“It wasn’t a play? No, it was a play… it was a first down,” Kelce responded during his live TV interview when asked about the viral moment, before explaining why he misheard his quarterback

Mahomes’ voice has long been compared to that of the famous character from The Muppets
“You know he has a really pretty voice, so he kind of mumbles,” he joked, making a hilarious noise that sounded eerily like something out of The Muppets.
“He was just mumbling the piece, and I couldn’t hear it. I went to the line and tried to understand what he was saying, and the next thing I knew, he threw the ball away.”
As you might expect, social media immediately went into overdrive. One fan said, “There’s no way Kelce Mahomes just called him Kermit the Frog!”
Another added: ‘Tight end, Eras Tour backup dancer, Mahomes impression. Travis Kelce can do it all.’
Minutes earlier, Mahomes had been asked about the reason for the play, and he explained, “Travis didn’t run the route he should have run. I was mad, I was pissed at Travis.
‘Out of pure spite I threw a pass behind me. But now it’s going to be a highlight!’

Mahomes and Kelce are very good friends and may have become even closer over the past year thanks to Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift.
The duo regularly dates Brittany and Taylor, and the quarterback’s wife has welcomed the singer into the Chiefs family for multiple games in 2023 and 2024.
As the 2024 season approaches, there is much speculation about how many games Swift will attend this season.
The Chiefs will play the Ravens first on September 5, which happens to coincide with the pop star taking a break from her sold-out global Eras Tour.
