Travis Kelce confirms he will NOT be with Taylor Swift at the Grammys because of the Super Bowl: ‘I wish I could go and watch her win every award she is nominated for’

Travis Kelce has confirmed he won’t be making it to the Grammys to support Taylor Swift due to practice with the Kansas City Chiefs ahead of the Super Bowl.

On the Pat McAfee show on Wednesday, Kelce said, “I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys and see her win every award she’s nominated for.

“But I think I have to practice on Sunday, or is it a travel day?” No, I have training on Saturday, Sunday is a travel day. I gotta get ready for this big ol’ Super Bowl.”

McAfee then joked that Kelce is the “only person around her” who would be too busy to make the awards show.

The 34-year-old tight end arrives in Las Vegas on the same weekend as the music industry’s biggest awards show, which will take place on Sunday at the Crypto.com Arena in LA.

Swift will now have to go solo on the red carpet this weekend, because she has a chance to win six prizes.

The singer then heads to Tokyo, Japan for four nights of her Eras Tour before returning to the West Coast for the Super Bowl in Vegas on February 11.

There she will watch Kelce win the ultimate football prize for the second season in a row against the San Francisco 49ers.

Kelce was questioned by McAfee about Swift and their relationship.

“We’re just trying to bring in the good ones, one person at a time, honey,” Kelce said of the initial skepticism about their dating. ‘Conquer everyone. We are two people in a relationship who support each other and have fun with it. It’s nothing more than that.’

On dealing with the extra attention, he said, “I had to dial it back 100 percent and make sure everyone in this building knew my intentions.

‘Football is my main focus. A lot of people are counting on me. My biggest focus in my heart is to pour everything onto the field.

“There has been some perception — and people can perceive things however they want — but I want to make sure that the men and women in this building know that my focus is 100 percent on this team and getting us where we’re going this week want.

“I took a step back and looked at how I was portraying myself while still enjoying my life off the field.”
