Travis Kelce attacked by Ravens star in blistering rant before Thursday’s NFL game – and he even claims Taylor Swift caused $100million New Heights deal
Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey took a swipe at Travis Kelce on his Punch Line podcast, claiming Taylor Swift’s influence was the reason he made a $100 million deal with Amazon for New Heights.
Humphrey and the Ravens will take on Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday night at Arrowhead Stadium in a big clash to kick off the new NFL season.
And Humphrey is relishing the chance to outdo the Super Bowl winners, now that Kelce is dominating the podcast world thanks to the growing success of New Heights.
In conversation with his co-host Jack Settleman said of the match: ‘I pray that I get to play against him because he tried to take everything away from me.’
“He tried to take it all away from me. He needs to pay. He needs to pay for what he did to the podcast space. How he tried to eliminate us.

Humphrey lashed out at Kelce for his podcast, suggesting Taylor Swift’s influence was behind the success
“And honestly, it’s not good. I don’t care who he’s dating. Are they engaged? I don’t care who he’s dating.”
Humphrey then addressed the recent $100 million deal Travis and his brother Jason signed with New Heights to continue their podcast ahead of the new season.
“On September 6th, it’s pod versus pod,” Humphrey said, seeming to confuse his team’s game with the Chiefs, which is scheduled for September 5. “We’ll see which heights are higher. Yeah.”
Humphrey initially appeared angry as he attacked Kelce, but as he spoke more, he seemed to calm down and take on a lighter tone as the conversation progressed.
However, he did suggest that Taylor Swift’s influence was behind the lucrative podcast deal the Kelce brothers landed.
“Maybe if you beat him, Amazon will give us the deal,” Settleman said. “Would you bash him and say Taylor’s music is trash? Do you think people have been bashing Taylor’s music on the field?”
“People talk a lot of shit,” he said. “He’s actually a cool guy, but he’s just football trash. What can you really say (about Taylor Swift)?
“He might just start laughing. If he laughed, I’d laugh back. ‘I was just kidding, bro! You want to come on the show and be a guest? Bring Taylor.’ That would give us numbers.”
Settleman questioned whether Swift would promote their podcast, saying, “She hasn’t been on their podcast! That has to be in the Amazon deal.”

Humphrey agreed and said, “That’s got to be in the deal with Amazon. It’s got to be. Fuck off. Unless she really wants to come.”
Last year, Kelce and the Chiefs defeated the Ravens 17-10 in Baltimore to win the AFC Championship and advance to the Super Bowl, where they defeated the San Francisco 49ers.
Kelce and the Chiefs are looking to make history this season: They could become the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls.
Kelce stressed earlier Tuesday that his off-field fame won’t be a distraction heading into the upcoming season.
“I just love football. It takes me away from life and gives me something to be really happy about,” he said.
“I enjoy coming into the building and working on my craft, understanding a new game plan and perfecting it with people around me. It gives me a purpose to spend my day and live my life.
“I’m so excited. It’s going to be hard to know when to stop or not.”
