Travis Kelce arrives for first Chiefs preseason game against the Detroit Lions at Arrowhead
Travis Kelce has returned to Arrowhead Stadium for the first time since winning three Super Bowls last spring to freshen up for the 2024 NFL season.
The 34-year-old tight end was spotted at his team’s home base on Saturday ahead of the Chiefs’ home game against the Detroit Lions.
Kelce wore an all-black outfit consisting of a classic Nike T-shirt and Chicago Bulls basketball shorts, smiling for the camera as he looked straight in, wearing sunglasses and earphones.
He played briefly in last week’s 26-13 road loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, catching one pass for seven yards.
Less than 24 hours ago, Kelce’s father, Ed, launched another attack on Kanye West after the rapper named the NFL player and his pop star girlfriend Taylor Swift in his latest diss track.

“I turn my Taylor spliffs tight on the end, like Travis Kelce,” Lil’ Wayne raps in his verse on the song, which appears on West’s album Vultures 2.
Ed brought up the issue on Facebook, responding to DailyMail.com’s story about West’s new lyrics on August 8: “I would like to clarify that my comment about Kanye West was not so much a criticism, but more my opinion on his mental health.
“His behavior and comments, which go beyond Taylor, indicate paranoia and an exaggerated sense of self-worth.
“While it would be easy to attribute his actions to drug use, there has been no shortage of clean and sober people throughout history who exhibit the same traits. This is a talented man and hopefully he will get help with these issues.”
Kelce’s first practice game in Kansas City also comes on the heels of his first reviews for hosting ‘Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity.’

Actress Garcelle Beauvais was one of the guests on the show and spoke exclusively to ET about her experience with the Chiefs tight end as a host.
“He was amazing, can I tell you? He was fantastic,” she said.
“Like, game show host, I wasn’t sure, but he didn’t overdo it. He didn’t underplay it. He was himself. He was fun, and it was great.”
Kelce’s unexpected off-field happiness comes after it was claimed he and Swift “fell asleep on Zoom together” despite the distance between them, as the singer is still in Europe for her “Eras Tour.”
The Chiefs officially open their 2024-25 NFL campaign on Sept. 5 against the Baltimore Ravens in a rematch of last season’s AFC Championship game.
