Barker also said in the message that the choice to have surgery on his finger “was a difficult decision to make, but in the end I couldn’t continue playing drums without it.”
“It was inevitable that my finger would have dislocated again without surgical repair of the torn ligament,” he explained.
Before his surgery, he posted and deleted a video holding hands and praying with his daughter Alabama Barker, 17, and his wife, Kourtney Kardashian, 43.
He had also shared another gory video of finger injuries, showing his joints snapping back into place.

Recovery: The Blink-182 drummer revealed Monday that he will be undergoing surgery after injuring his ring finger earlier this month.
It seemed that a doctor had come to his house and was discussing the pain in his finger.
Another snap showed Travis in an all-black ensemble holding his bandaged hand to his face, shielding it from further harm.
She also pictured his finger up close, with his tattooed hand extended to show the break at the top of his knuckle.
His wife Kourtney responded to the post with a series of praying hands and heart emojis.
He previously tweeted on February 8: “I was playing drums in rehearsals yesterday and I broke my finger so hard I dislocated it and tore my ligaments.”
No concerts have been postponed or canceled following the injury, and fans are hoping the surgery won’t affect Blink-182’s first tour with Tom DeLonge in the lineup, along with Travis and bandmate Mark Hoppus, since 2014.
Late last year, Tom revealed that the group has been busy working on “the best album” they’ve made to date.
He joked on Instagram: ‘I am personally crazy and so proud of what we have created TOGETHER. Like a unified force of fun, eternal youth, and most of all, close friends.
The group is set for their biggest tour to date, with concerts in the UK, Europe, North America, Australia, New Zealand and their first shows in Latin America.

The three original members of Blink-182 met before Mark underwent cancer treatment in 2021 and revealed that all three were in a good place.
He previously said of the band’s relationship: ‘It’s actually better than it used to be.
‘There was no agenda (when they met). There were no lingering grudges. She felt very much back to what she should be: three friends sitting in a room.
