Travis Barker gets tattoo of late French bulldog Blue just days after he passed away

Travis Barker’s French Bulldog, Blue, will always be with him.

The 46-year-old Blink-182 star had a tattoo of his beloved pup who passed away earlier this week on Friday.

He tattooed Blue’s face on the inside of his left thigh. He shared photos of the new ink in an Instagram slideshow.

Barker captioned the social media post: ‘Grateful for this tattoo @_dr_woo_ in honor of my boy Blue [prayer hands].’

The tattoo artist, Doctor Woo, works with a number of celebrities, including Miley Cyrus and Emilia Clarke.

Barker announced the tragic news on Wednesday with another heartfelt message on social media.

Before they were tattooed, a stencil was applied to the rocker’s leg to ensure the image portrayed Blue’s likeness perfectly.

Frenchies typically have a lifespan of 10-14 years and, judging by the wealth of white fur on Blue’s cheeks, he seemed to live a long life in the 46-year-old pop-punk drummer’s 10K-square-foot Calabasas complex.

Travis – with 13.2 million followers on social media – wrote via instagram story: ‘I will miss you Blue. You were the best dog. I always waited for you to say something. I always love you boy.’

Blue was raised primarily by Barker’s 16-year-old daughter Alabama Luella, who posted several touching tributes to her canine companion.

‘I love you Blue. You’ll never understand how much you’ve helped me on my darkest days,” the not-so-typical teen – who boasts 4.4 million followers on social media – wrote.

“You slept next to me, the way I’d throw your ball and you’d run with excitement, or the eyes you had that touched everyone, I’ll never forget you, my baby. I know you will have the most amazing time in dog heaven. Until we meet again my love’

Alabama also wrote on TikTok: ‘I love you my baby. Your mother loves you more than life can imagine. [You’re] will have the most amazing life in heaven. Until we meet again, my son, I love you more than life itself.’

Alabama is Barker’s youngest of three children – including son Landon, 19; and stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya, 23 – from his on/off three-year marriage to Miss USA 1995 Shanna Moakler, which ended in 2008.

The founder of DTA Records is also the stepfather of his neighbor Kourtney Kardashian’s three children – son Mason, 12; daughter Penelope, 10; and son Reign, 7 – from her on/off nine-year relationship with Talentless CEO Scott Disick, which ended in 2015.
