Transgender Colorado woman, 19, is arrested over plot to shoot up THREE schools and churches

A transgender teen is in custody after authorities say they recovered a manifesto outlining her plan to attack three schools and churches in Colorado just four days after Audrey Hale murdered six people at Nashville’s Covenant School.

William Whitworth, 19, whose name is Lilly and who is referred to in arrest documents by female pronouns, was arrested on March 31. She was a student in the school district she planned to attack between 2014 and 2016, authorities say.

In a manifesto recovered from her home, Whitworth called Columbine killers Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold “losers,” said Sandy Hook shooter Adam Lanza was “smart,” and ex-President Donald Trump was a “con artist.” She was also in possession of the Communist Manifesto.

The suspect is charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder, criminal mischief, threat and interference with staff, teachers or students of educational institutions.

Police were called to Whitworth’s home by the suspect’s sister who reported that the suspect engaged in violent behavior and made threats. Someone in the house told officers that Whitworth was “very upset” and had “punched holes in a wall.”

That’s what a spokesperson for the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office said the Colorado Springs Gazette that Whitworth is transitioning from male to female.

All schools targeted by Whitworth have an armed school resource officer on campus who is a member of the Colorado Springs Police Department.

DailyMail.com has learned that Whitworth’s mother is a registered homeschool teacher in the district.

The officers who went to the suspect’s home said Whitworth was drunk and sitting on her bed, which had brown stained sheets.

When asked if she planned to shoot down a school, she replied with a nod. When asked why she wanted to do it, Whitworth replied, “Why does anyone do it?”

“When we entered the house, the garbage was piled up all over the house, making it difficult to walk in. There were numerous containers filled with half-eaten food that were growing mold and numerous containers of alcoholic beverages were lying around the house,” part of the arrest affidavit reads.

Whitworth said there was “no specific reason” she wanted to shoot down Timberview Middle School, a school she once attended. She called Timberview her “prime target.”

She attended the school between August and October 2016. In all, Whitworth spent just nine months in the school district she targeted.

Investigators searched the house and found Whitworth’s four-page manifesto and a map written on a dry-erase board. A notebook with a list of names was found nearby.

The suspect said she had been preparing her attack for the past two months. Among her materials that police found were details of how to make and detonate a bomb, as well as a list of weapons and how to 3D print them.

Police did not find any weapons in the home, but did find firearm cleaners.

When asked by researchers if she was schizophrenic, Whitworth replied, “I hope not.”

Authorities recovered a copy of The Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx and Friedrick Engels among Whitworth’s belongings.

“There’s a page in my manifesto and there’s a bunch of mass murderers,” Whitworth said when asked how much she knew about other shootings.

In that section, the suspect said the Columbine shooters were “losers” and Sandy Hook shooter Adam Lanza was “smart.”

She also called far-right YouTuber Lauren Southern “pathetic” and left-wing vlogger Vaush a “terrorist.” Whitworth also called serial killer Israel Keyes a “degenerate” and made disparaging remarks about the police.

The house where she was arrested is a five-bedroom house that sprawls over nearly 4,000 square feet.

Whitworth is being held on $75,000 and will appear in court for the first time on May 5.

Audrey Hale, 28, had detailed writings plotting her sick attack months before she slaughtered three children and three adults at The Covenant School last week

Audrey Hale, 28, had detailed writings plotting her sick attack months before she slaughtered three children and three adults at The Covenant School last week

Her plans were revealed just three days after transgender Audrey Hale, 28, murdered three students and three staff at a Nashville Christian school.

Hale legally purchased seven guns in recent years and hid the guns from their parents before carrying out the attack by firing indiscriminately at victims and firing through doors and windows.

She had drawn a detailed map of the school, including possible entry points, and was overseeing the building before committing the massacre, authorities said.

Hale did not target specific victims, including three 9-year-olds and the school principal.

Hale was under medical treatment for an undisclosed emotional disorder and was not known to police before the attack, Metropolitan Nashville Police Chief John Drake said at a news conference.

If the police had been told that Hale was suicidal or homicidal, “we would have tried to get those guns,” Drake said. “But as it stands, we had absolutely no idea who this person was or that (Hale) even existed.”

Tennessee does not currently have a “red flag” law that allows police to step in and take firearms from people who threaten to kill, Colorado does have a law on the books that allows weapons to be confiscated for up to two weeks from persons considered to be at ‘significant risk’.
