According to reports from Sky Sports Denmark, Pierre-Emile Hojbierg will remain at Tottenham until at least the end of the season.
The Spurs midfielder was linked with Juventus and Lyon earlier this month, but has decided to stay.
Roy Hodgson wants Michael Olise to stay at Palace
Roy Hodgson has also addressed the rumors linking Michael Olise with a move away from Selhrust Park at the end of the season. The winger has attracted interest from Manchester United and Chelsea, but Hodgson believes it would be a ‘sad day’ for the club if Olise were to leave.
Palace hope to complete the signing of Munoz
Crystal Palace are hoping to complete the signing of Genk right-back Daniel Munoz before the deadline.
“We are hopeful that we will be able to announce his arrival quite soon,” said Roy Hodgson.
“He is here, he has had medical tests, but there are still a few issues that need to be resolved before we can say he will be a Crystal Palace player, but we are certainly working on that.”
LIVERPOOL CONFIDENTIAL: Klopp’s departure could impact transfers
Jurgen Klopp’s upset departure from Liverpool has taken the football world by storm and the German’s impending departure could have a major impact on transfers at the club.
We’ve already shared how Virgil van Dijk is unsure about his own future, and there’s plenty up in the air at Anfield with a number of off-field staff set to leave, including sporting director Jorg Schmadtke, who will next week will leave.
One source, who has worked in the recruitment department of a number of major teams in the UK and across Europe, says Mailsport that this uncertainty could see selling clubs and agents exploit Liverpool’s situation to get a better deal.
Huddersfield sack Darren Moore
There is a new managerial vacancy in the Championship as Huddersfield have sacked Darren Moore.
The Terriers have won just three of Moore’s 23 games and are 21st in the Championship after a 1-1 draw with QPR at Loftus Road yesterday.
DONE DEAL – Lewis Miley signs new contract with Newcastle
Lewis Miley has signed a new long-term contract with Newcastle.
The 17-year-old has made 18 appearances this season and has been capped for England at Under-19 level.
‘It is a very proud moment for me and my family to sign another professional contract with my boyhood club. “I couldn’t be more proud,” he said.
‘Hopefully I can continue to do well in the coming years and I can continue to improve my performances and continue to get better as a player.’
Can Liverpool also lose Virgil van Dijk?
Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk is unwilling to commit his future to the Reds until he has clarity on the club’s long-term vision, with the defender unsure of what awaits him after his contract at Anfield expires next summer.
Van Dijk is one of three stars whose contracts must be completed before 2025, alongside Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold. And while there are no immediate concerns that the captain wants an exit, he wants to see what happens next before signing an extension.
Losing their captain after Jurgen Klopp announced his shock departure last week would be a huge blow for Liverpool.
DONE DEAL – Fenerbache signs Caglar Soyuncu
Former Leicester City defender Caglar Soyuncu has joined Fenerbahce on loan from Atletico Madrid until the end of the season.
The Turkey international spent five years with the Foxes and won the FA Cup in 2021.
Newcastle want to sign Jacob Ramsey
Newcastle United have reportedly made an approach for Aston Villa star Jacob Ramsey, who has also attracted interest from Tottenham and Bayern Munich.
According to The Athletic, Villa must raise money by the end of June to remain compliant with profit and sustainability regulations.
DONE DEAL – Callum Lang signs for Pompey
A bit of news from League One, where Portsmouth have completed the signing of Wigan striker Callum Lang for an undisclosed fee.
The 25-year-old has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract, with a club option for a further 12 months.
Blues boss John Mousinho said: ‘Callum is a versatile player who is comfortable in any position on the front line.
‘He is also a proven goalscorer at this level and has a promotion to his name at Wigan, so we are pleased to bring him to the club.
“Callum adds goals, creativity and experience to our squad and I am very much looking forward to working with him.”
Calvin Ramsay is on loan at Bolton
Mail Sport understands Liverpool’s Calvin Ramsay is joining Bolton Wanderers on loan.
Liverpool were impressed with the work Bolton put in with Conor Bradley last season and that played a part in their decision.
Moise Kean set for Atletico switch
Moise Kean – remember him, Everon fans? – is on loan to Atletico Madrid from Juventus until the end of the season, in a deal that does not include an option to buy.
The former Everton loanee is currently undergoing medical treatment in the Spanish capital ahead of his move.
The Italy international is yet to score his first goal of the season after just 12 games in Serie A.
Wes Foderingham can leave on loan
Chris Wilder has confirmed that Ivo Grbic will be Sheffield United’s No.1 for the foreseeable future, with Wes Foderingham potentially set to go on loan.
“Wes asked the question if he would be available to go out on loan and I said, listen, let’s see what happens and see who comes to the table about that,” Wilder said.
“I was honest with Wes, always was when it came to what we did. I’m not going to take ourselves lightly either, I put myself out there and said that Ivo (Grbic) will be number one.’
Eddie Howe: ‘Callum Wilson will stay’
Eddie Howe has also dismissed Callum Wilson could leave the club in January despite being linked with a move away from St. James’ Park
‘I honestly didn’t know that with Callum. Callum is committed 100 percent, just like Kieran (Trippier). That’s why I’m surprised by the noise with Callum,” Howe said.
‘I don’t really understand. He is currently injured. We have one fit striker, he is our second fit striker. We’re desperate to get him back. From his perspective and ours, there is nothing wrong here.”
Eddie Howe is cautious about new signings
Newcastle have dominated the headlines so far during the transfer window, albeit not for the reasons their fans might have hoped for. The Toon may be the richest club in the world, but those pesky Financial Fairplay rules mean they have to sell before they can buy.
Bruno Guimaraes is the latest man to be linked with a move away from St James’ Park and Eddie Howe admitted new signings in the next three days are unlikely.
‘Nothing has changed, it’s copy and paste from before the Fulham game. I have no new news for you. We are still waiting,” he told reporters Monday morning.
‘We’ll wait and see what happens. I don’t want to talk about individual names.
‘It is a complex situation. Nothing is clear and all eventualities can happen. What we probably won’t do is bring in a player without losing one the other way.”
