Trans Bachelorette star Josh Seiter sparks backlash for bragging after using a women’s bathroom

A former Bachelorette star who recently came out as transgender sparked controversy online after she posted a video about using women’s restrooms.

Josh Seiter, 37, was born male and appeared in season 11 of the popular series, where he competed with other men for the hand of the female contestant.

On Sunday, Seiter posted a video to Instagram that appeared to show her leaving a women’s restroom at Walmart. In the clip, she wears a low-cut red dress that reveals her abundant chest hair and tattoos.

“I have to admit, the ladies’ room is much nicer than the men’s room,” she said, holding a paper towel in her hands.

“Did you know there are even bins for your feminine hygiene products?” she asked her nearly one million followers.

The short clip sparked outrage among viewers, with many people angry that Seiter used the ladies’ restroom.

“You should NOT be allowed to use the women’s restroom. You are a MAN,” one frustrated user commented on the video.

A female viewer was furious: ‘As a REAL woman I do not support you at all! You should be in jail for using women’s toilets, locker rooms and other female facilities!’

‘I don’t care HOW you identify yourself, if you have male genitals you should NOT be using our restroom!’ wrote another. They added: ‘I would be furious if my daughter was in that restroom while you were using it!!!’

And one viewer simply noted, “It’s not at all appropriate for you to go to the ladies’ room.”

Seiter came out as a trans woman in May 2024. She recently announced that she is not taking hormone therapy and that she is unsure whether she will undergo transgender surgery.

After being eliminated, Seiter returned to work as a stripper and courted a string of high-profile girlfriends, including reality stars Yolanda Leak and Karine Staehle — who both starred on 90 Day Fiancé — and then Love After Lockup’s Lizzie Kommes.

But behind the scenes, she began to accept her sexuality, eventually revealing in June 2023 that she was bisexual and engaged to another exotic dancer.

When Seiter came out as transgender this year, she received a lot of criticism, especially for her decision to keep her thick beard.

In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, the influencer revealed that much of the negative feedback has paradoxically come from liberal groups.

“Ironically, I’ve found that it’s the far-left community and the LGBTQ community that has been the most vicious and mean-spirited toward me in this whole issue,” Seiter said.

But despite the fierce online criticism, she has no plans to close her social media accounts.

“I always want to have a conversation,” she told DailyMail.com. “I think open debates, civil debates and dialogues are great.

“We live in a democracy in America where you have freedom of speech and it’s okay to disagree with others,” Seiter added.
