Trans activist banned from White House after baring her breasts at Pride event complains about business

A transgender model who was banned from the White House on Tuesday after going topless at a Pride event where she met President Joe Biden has complained about companies shying away from LGBTQ+ influencers.

Rose Montoya, 27, unhooked the top of her dress on Saturday and grabbed her chest on the South Lawn as someone yelled, “Are we topless in the White House?”

Video of the move went viral on social media and was condemned by the White House.

Montoya was unrepentant and said it was not illegal to go topless in Washington, DC

She said The protectorin an interview published Tuesday, she said she was “disappointed” that companies were becoming reluctant to support Pride — especially in light of the Bud Light controversy.

“I’ve talked to many of my trans friends and colleagues, and we’ve all noticed fewer brands looking for partnerships and smaller budgets for Pride campaigns,” Montoya said.

“It’s disappointing.”

In March, Bud Light teamed up with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney. The impact was catastrophic, destroying billions of the brand’s value.

Its parent company, Anheuser-Busch, saw its share price and market cap drop about 17 percent Tuesday night from March highs.

Montoya said brands capitulated to a rowdy, angry mob.

“I’m disappointed that brands are giving in to bullies,” Montoya said.

“When it comes to Pride, I need to know if a company is doing well in the world and is actually standing up for our community.

“I’m very selective about who I work with, and I need to know that a company is doing well in the world, not just taking advantage of us.”

Montoya, who has modeled for Rihanna’s label, Savage x Fenty, caused a storm on Monday when her video from the White House grounds showing her baring her breasts went viral.

On Tuesday, a White House spokesperson told DailyMail.com, “This behavior is inappropriate and disrespectful to any event at the White House.

“It is not a reflection of the event we organized to honor LGBTQI+ families or the other hundreds of guests who attended.

“Individuals in the video will not be invited to future events.”

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre reiterated that point during her press conference on Tuesday.

“Individuals in the video will definitely not be invited to future events. And this has never happened before. This is not this was not a normal thing that happened under this administration,” she said.

Montoya was one of thousands invited to a Pride Month concert on the South Lawn Saturday at the White House.

Montoya shared an Instagram montage of the day with her 103,000 followers on Monday, seen dancing to the DJ and striking poses in front of landmarks like the Washington Monument and the White House Truman Balcony.

She also meets Jill Biden and tries to take a selfie with the president – accidentally shooting the camera on video instead of photo.

During her meeting with President Biden, she also said, “Trans rights are human rights.”

She captioned the video: “I had the honor of attending the White House Pride, the largest in history where the Pride flag flew for the first time.

“This is trans joy. We are unapologetically trans, queer and brown here in the White House.”

When the video went viral, she pointed out that being topless in public wasn’t illegal in Washington DC.

The White House hosted the concert after it was postponed from its original Thursday date due to smoke blanketing the city from the Canadian wildfires.

Biden and his administration have emphasized that they are allies of the LGBTQ movement.

“You are loved, you are beautiful, you are heard, you belong,” Jill Biden told the audience on Saturday.

Montoya was flying from Phoenix to Los Angeles when she was stopped by security after the full-body scanner detected an “abnormality” between her legs.

Can we talk about how horrible it is sometimes to travel while being transgender? I always have a huge fear of going through security,” the Spanish model explained in her viral TikTokwhich has been viewed 19 million times.

“And this means I fully acknowledge the privilege of having all my documents correct,” she continued.

“So, for example, the gender marker on my driver’s license says female.

“But when we go through the scanner, there’s a male scanner and a female scanner in the TSA checkpoint.”

Montoya, who has more than 481,000 TikTok followers, uses her platform to educate others about the difficulties transgender people face.
