After Ash’s banishment, Megs or Paul were at risk of being killed by the Traitors after being the remaining participants sentenced to the dungeons.

The 36-year-old was cheered by fans who said he ‘deserved an Oscar’ as he burst into tears and had to be comforted by Jonny as he claimed he missed his family.

But Paul confessed that the real reason behind his tears was that his plan to double-bluff the Faithfuls by putting himself in the dungeon had backfired.

He said: ‘I had a very emotional day about the family and all that, but to be honest it was real emotion channeled in a different way that I knew I would benefit from.’

The contestants were stunned when Paul returned to the breakfast table, instead of faithful Meg, who they thought was a traitor.

Viewers wrote: ‘I’m very conflicted. I’d like to see Paul go, but he also provides quality television. He’s the new annoying Nick.’

‘My emotions were genuine, they were just expressed in a different way’, I think that’s called being manipulative, Paul.

“Now please give me Paul’s downfall” and “Paul with the fake tears.” Someone give that man an Oscar.”

Paul said, “Being a traitor is a challenge. It is really difficult. It’s probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done. They may not like the way I approach things, but I hope people see that this is literally the level you have to go to.”

Viewers believe Paul could replace Big Brother ‘Nasty Nick’ Bateman, who rose to fame for pitting his housemates against each other.
