Tragedy after young Qantas pilot Harry Allchin ‘suddenly’ dies
A grief-stricken family has paid tribute to a young Qantas pilot after his “sudden and unexpected” death.
QantasLink pilot Harrison Edward Allchin, 30, died unexpectedly while on the Gold Coast on October 13.
The 30-year-old had worked for the regional airline as a first officer since 2018.
His sister Brittany shared a heartbreaking tribute on Facebook to her ‘super human’ who she saw in Sydney a week before his death.

“My little brother, how can we go on without you! The pain in our hearts is unbearable. Our best partner, who we were completely blessed to be chosen as our brother in this life,” Brittany wrote.
‘The amazing foursome will never be the same, our lives will be changed forever. You should be here with us, walking next to us and making us laugh like you always would, you funny bastard!
‘It feels so surreal and strange to write this, but I have so much to say and I want everyone to know how much of a super human you Hazza was. The purest salt of the earthly person, vibrating at the highest frequencies.
“You’ve done more in your thirty years than anyone else has done in a lifetime! You are the embodiment of life to the fullest!
‘I have never known love and pain so deep until now. You may be my little brother, but the mark you have left on all of us is anything but small, it is immeasurable.
‘This can’t be real. Wake us up from this nightmare.’ Fly high Hazza Bro, until I can be with you again. I will love you always and forever.”
More to come…
