A man has been killed and a baby escaped unhurt after a horrific late-night collision between a car and a truck in Adelaide’s south.
Emergency services raced to the scene at Willunga Hill at around 10pm on Wednesday following a collision between a Toyota sedan and the main engine.
The driver of the sedan, 36, of Semaphore Park, died at the scene.
The truck driver, 34, and his three-year-old passenger, both from Kangaroo Island, were not injured but were taken to Flinders Medical Center and kept under observation.

Accident investigators spent the night examining the scene.
Victor Harbor Road remains closed to all traffic between Pages Flat and Yundi Roads.
Investigators are expected to remain at the scene throughout Thursday as they try to figure out how and why the tragedy happened.
This was the second fatal collision involving a truck within 12 hours.
Earlier Wednesday, a male pedestrian was killed after being struck by a truck on the Southern Expressway in Bedford Park.
The truck driver was uninjured.
The investigation into that accident continues.
The two deaths take South Australia’s road toll to 90 in 2023, compared to 57 this time last year.
