Nicky Whelan has revealed her tragic loss to fans.
The Neighbors star, 42, took to Instagram on Sunday to reveal the heartbreaking loss of ‘the love of my life’, her French bulldog Yoda.
“Friday morning I unexpectedly lost the love of my life Yoda,” the star’s painful post began.
“Thankfully he was in my arms looking into my eyes as he got his angel wings and passed over,” Nicky wrote.
“We had ten years of absolute love and joy together. Yoda went on more planes, more movie sets, more red carpets, more parties, more dinners, and more adventures than most people I know.”

Whelan continued, “He genuinely touched the lives of every person and animal he encountered. He was filled with so much happiness, and I am so grateful and fortunate that we had the time together that we did.”
She concluded, “I am so heartbroken. I will love you forever Yoda.”
Yoda was by Nicky’s side as she attended the Last Chance for Animals Gala at the Beverly Hilton earlier this month.

Nicky, who starred in Neighbors as Pepper Steiger from 2006 to 2007, looked stunning in a long gown with a plunging neckline.
The figure-hugging, figure-hugging gown featured short sleeves and showed off a glimpse of her pins as she posed on the red carpet.
Nicky wore her platinum blonde locks and opted for a glossy make-up style, finished with a bold red lipstick.
She completed her look with nude pumps and a necklace with the triquetra symbol, made famous by the TV series Charmed.

‘My diet consisted of vodka, ramen, coffee and cigarettes. My training consisted of walking to parties, drunk as fuck, in 5-inch heels. You don’t impress me,” it continued.
It comes after Nicky revealed why she has always been so skinny on podcast Cancel Me, Baby!
“Most of the times when my body looked its best, I was incredibly stressed,” she admitted.
Although she admitted that she exercises and lives a healthy lifestyle, there are often times when her weight loss is all due to stress.
“I work out, but I also have times where I’m so stressed and I lose so much weight and no matter what I eat, my body loses it,” she said.

She continued, “And when I’m at my worst internally, people will come up to me and say to me, ‘God, you look fantastic.’ I’m like, ‘You have no idea what’s going on inside.’
Nicky then revealed that when she was happier and ’rounder’, she received fewer compliments.
“At other times in my life, when I’m very happy and jovial and have gained weight and am a bit rounder, I don’t get as much attention or people say different things,” she said.
