A Texas elementary school student tragically died during a mysterious medical emergency.
The Hurst Fire Department was dispatched to the school Tuesday morning after Esperant Kadieyizil, 10, a student at Donna Park Elementary, suffered an unknown medical crisis.
When emergency personnel arrived on scene, school staff administered CPR to the student before the procedure was taken over by paramedics.
The little boy was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to Tarrant County Medical Examiner records.
In a letter to parents, the school’s principal, Julie McAvoy, informed students’ families of the sudden death and “sad situation” of the fifth-year student.

“It is common for students to create a ‘story’ and fill in the gaps when they do not know what is going on, resulting in rumors,” McAvoy said in the letter.
“Please let them know that you understand this is a sad situation, that you love and care about them, and that you have no additional information at this time.”
The Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District is expected to send grief counselors to the elementary school to help students and teachers cope with the difficult loss, McAvoy said.
In August, a nine-year-old girl died after collapsing during recess on the first day of school.
