Tragedy as boy, 10, finds family of five – including two children – dead inside home in suspected murder-suicide as cops say they ‘all died violently’

A quiet community in suburban Oklahoma City is reeling after a family of five, including two children, were found dead. Police confirmed that they “all died violently” on Monday.
All five victims had injuries consistent with homicide, said police Sgt. Gary Knight.
“This was not a gas leak situation or a fentanyl type situation, this is five people who died,” Knight said. “We’re talking about children who are in this house and are victims of it. It’s a very tragic, very sad situation.”
Knight said those found dead included a man and a woman, but he did not know the gender or age of all the victims. The relationship between the victims has also not been disclosed.
He said officers who arrived on the scene around 9:30 a.m. withdrew from the home after determining all the victims were deceased and that investigators obtained a search warrant before beginning to search the scene for evidence.
Early in the investigation, police confirmed there was no threat to the general public, indicating the incident was a suicide. The bodies were discovered by a 10-year-old boy, reports The Oklahoman.

Authorities said the victims included two minors and one recent high school graduate
The school district, Mustang Public Schools, confirmed in a statement that the dead included a sixth-grade student at local Meadow Brook Intermediate and a ninth-grade student at Mustang High School.
A 2023 graduate of the same high school was also killed. A crisis team will be on site at all schools in the district to help students through this difficult time.
“We are shocked and heartbroken; This tragedy simply defies comprehension,” Superintendent Charles Bradley wrote in a statement to parents.
‘No one expected it, it was very shocking. You know, like I said, they were a great family,” said neighbor Brian Graham KFOR.
‘They were good friends of ours. They came down all the time and we kind of had hangouts together. We’re really going to miss them. “We really wish this hadn’t happened,” he added.
