A former beauty queen and mother of two has reportedly died due to plastic surgery complications.
Jaquelin Carrieri, 48, from Argentina, died on Sunday, October 1, after suffering a blood clot at an undisclosed clinic in Los Angeles, California, her relatives confirmed.
Once crowned queen of her district, the actress and model also came second in a beauty pageant at the San Rafael and Vendimia grape harvest festival in Argentina in 1996.
Her children Chloe and Julian were by her side when she tragically died, Argentinian media report.
A post on her Instagram page reads: ‘We would like to inform our followers of some sad news today.

‘Jaquelin Carrieri, queen of the district of Punta del Agua and vice queen of the department of San Rafael in 1996, has died.
“From Reinas de San Rafael we would like to express our condolences to her family and friends during this difficult time.”
The entrepreneur – who would soon celebrate her 49th birthday – was the ex-partner of the son of renowned journalist Jorge Quintana.
Jacquelin also studied at the National University of Lomas de Zamora near Buenos Aires before entering the retail industry.
She later became known for her luxury fashion store, Jaquelin Carrieri Boutique, which had to close due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Her death comes as a shock to her family and friends, who described Jacquelin as a ‘woman of great talent’ and ‘beautiful’.
According to Facebook page Reinas Vendimiales San Rafael Mendoza, Jacquelin died of a “stroke” caused by cosmetic surgery.

The statement, posted on October 2, read: “Jaquelin Carrieri has passed away.
‘She was a woman of great talent, an actress in one of our department’s plays that was performed at the Roma Theater until a few days ago.
‘Jaquelin also owned a luxury fashion store called Jaquelin Carrieri Boutique, which unfortunately had to close its doors during the pandemic.
‘She was known for dressing the queens of the San Rafael parade for many years and making their dresses shine during the parades of the Vía Blanca and Carrusel Vendimial.
‘In her youth she was also vice queen of the San Rafael and Vendimia festivals.
“She died in Los Angeles, California, of a stroke possibly caused by cosmetic surgery.”
One of Jaquelin’s close friends, Jorgelina Olivera, has spoken about the loss of his “amazing” friend, although he says it’s not a goodbye, but rather a “see you soon.”
Jorgelina said: “All of us who had the pleasure of knowing you and sharing moments of our lives with you know what a wonderful person you were, a beautiful woman in every way, always with your smile and your glamour.
“To be honest, your departure took me by surprise and I still can’t believe it.
‘Thank you, thank you a thousand times for coming into my life and painting it with so much joy and happiness.
“It was a pleasure sharing moments with you, and I will be forever grateful.
‘May God welcome you to His glory. It is not a goodbye but a see you soon, my beautiful and sweet Jaquelin’.
