A young boy lost his mother to breast cancer just days before he was killed in a horrific accident in rural Victoria.
Seven-year-old Harley Galea-Smith and the adult driver of the car were both killed when it collided with a truck on Willow Grove Rd in Trafalgar on Sunday.
Two dogs in the vehicle also died, while the driver of the truck was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Earlier this year, Harley’s mother, Amy Galea, was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer. She tragically died four days before the crash.
“This has devastated Amy’s family and left them helpless,” said a friend.
