Freak accident claims the life of a tradie working on the roof of a suburban home

A trader has tragically died while working at a home in Sydney’s far south west.

Emergency services rushed to the house on Jet Place in Eagle Vale after reports a man had been electrocuted on a roof about 10am on Tuesday.

A NSW Police spokesperson said officers arrived shortly afterwards and found the 29-year-old man dead at the scene.

Paramedics and firefighters tried to revive him, but were unsuccessful.

A crime scene has been cordoned off at the home and a report will be prepared for the coroner.

Friends of the deceased told Daily Telegraph that he was the father of two young children.

A spokesperson for SafeWork NSW told Daily Mail Australia it could not provide more information on the matter as it was a private job and not an official workplace.

Dozens of emergency workers remained at the scene well into the afternoon while the death was investigated.

Police officers were seen standing on the roof of the house photographing an area where the tiles appeared to have been removed.
