Trader Joe’s customers line up around the block to purchase viral item

Shoppers lined up around the buildings of Trader Joe’s locations to pick up a pair of red and emerald green insulated mini bags.

Instagram user Shannon Fong was one of many Trader Joe’s customers waiting outside to purchase the ‘Tote-ally eye-catcher’ mini bags Today.

Fong showed off her new bags on Instagram video this morning, along with boxes full of things she also bought at the store.

“They are so cute and fit the big one so perfectly,” Fong wrote in her video description.

The Red & Emerald Mini Insulated Bags are two of the many viral Trader Joe’s items that have blown up social media in recent months, with several buyers already listing the products on eBay.

Like the other mini insulated bags, the red and emerald Trader Joe’s items are made of material rated to keep food and drinks cold.

“With their vibrant green and vermilion shades of candy apple red and rich emerald green, we think they are especially great for taking cold snacks or salads to a party, picnic or day at the park,” the product description reads.

The bags are also suitable for daily use and transport items safely from ‘point A to point B and back again.’

Trader Joe’s added that shoppers interested in the mini bags should pick them up as soon as possible as they are sure to “fly off the shelves.”

The Red & Emerald Mini Insulated Bags are not for sale on Trader Joe’s website, but several resellers have listed the bags online for under $100.

However, these prices are nothing compared to a set of three Mini Insulated Totes for $149.99 earlier this year.

Trader Joe’s $3 mini canvas tote bags were the talk of the Internet in March, causing chaos in stores and booming sales.

Before running out of stock, the supermarket chain had expected good sales, but not the amount of popular demand it experienced.

“We actually had hundreds of thousands of bags coming in and going out within a week.” Insider Trader Joe’s podcast host Matt Sloan said in an episode earlier this year.

“We had no idea they would be so exciting, so fast, for so many customers.”

The chaos returned in September after Trader Joe’s decided last month to re-release the Mini Canvas Tote Bags for a limited time.

The bags, which the company said were “ideal for smaller shopping trips,” were expected to sell out in several stores within hours.

Now several Reddit users can’t stop talking about the new Mini Insulated Bags and what it was like buying them at their local Trader Joe’s.

Several commenters revealed that there were reportedly no lines in their stores and they were still filled with bags.

Others claimed there was a four-bag limit and lines around storefronts in California.

“That’s my TJ. I’ll have to check on the way home,” one Reddit user wrote in response to a photo taken at Trader Joe’s in New York.

“I don’t think anyone wants them as much as the mini bag.”
