Trader Joe’s addictive chocolate treat returns: ‘Dear God, help me’

Trader Joe’s has relaunched a popular chocolate that customers are calling “addictive.”

Consumers can find the ever-popular Glazed Chocolate Donut Holes back on supermarket shelves.

Fans of the little bakes celebrated their return on Reddit.

“Dear god help me,” one user wrote under a post about the return of the pink-wrapped snack.

These delicious snacks are made from a mixture of tapioca starch, rice flour and cornstarch and then coated with a sugar coating.

They contain 240 calories per serving and are dairy and gluten free.

Also on Reddit, another fan wrote: ‘DAIRY AND GLUTEN FREE!?!?! Be still my little heart! I might have to travel a bit to get it!’

Another fan said the donuts give them a “nostalgic feeling because they used to get these kinds of donut holes as a treat when they were kids.”

“The texture is PERFECT, moist, cakey and totally takes me back to when I was eating gluten,” one gluten-free TikTok user wrote on the platform.

Trader Joe’s also reintroduced other tasty desserts this summer, including the frozen Celebration Cake Gelato and the acclaimed Horchata ice cream.

The cake is made with cake batter-flavored gelato with cake pieces and rainbow sprinkles. It’s currently on the shelves at Trader Joe’s for $3.79.

The Horchata Ice Cream has a cinnamon and rice flour base with chunks of horchata cookie. A pint is also $3.79.

Every year, Trader Joe’s announces the Customer Choice Awards. This year, there were a few unexpected winners.

The California-based supermarket chain has been asking its customers to vote for their favorite Trader Joe’s products across various categories for 15 years.

The standout winner of the 15th annual Customer Choice Awards was the chili and lime flavored rolled corn tortilla chips, which outshone the other beloved products of the year

Surprisingly, the very popular chicken with mandarins failed to take first place in any category this year.

That’s because Trader Joe’s decided to exclude its five extremely popular products, which had won multiple times in previous years. As of last year, they are no longer eligible to participate.

The overall winner this year, however, was the chili lime flavored tortilla chips, which beat out the other beloved products of the year.
