Toyota Kluger vehicles urgently recalled over fears defective airbags could cause ‘injury or death’

Hundreds of Toyota vehicles have been recalled due to a defect in the cars’ airbags that could lead to an increased “risk of injury or death.”
The defect affects the 625 Kluger Petrol (TXUA70 and TXUA75) and Kluger Hybrid (AXUH78) models made in 2023 and includes the following variants: Kluger 2.4L Petrol 2WD, Kluger 2.4L Petrol AWD and Kluger Hybrid 2.5L.
According to the Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts, the wiring in the driver’s side airbag can become loose over time.
