TOWIE star Frankie Essex reveals she rushed her son Logan to hospital after fearing ‘he put an exploded battery in his mouth’
Frankie Essex has revealed she had to rush her baby boy to hospital after he ‘put an exploded battery in his mouth’.
The former TOWIE star, 35, who welcomed twins Logan and Luella with her partner Luke Love last June, began to panic when the operator on 111 told her ‘you don’t know if it will be too late’.
But after an urgent visit to a hospital where Luke was monitored for three hours, the little one was released.
Frankie told how she heard an explosion in the night, but when she found nothing suspicious, she and Luke went to bed.
She wrote in her OK! column that the next morning she saw half a button battery on the floor and immediately thought Logan had eaten the other half.

She said, “I immediately called 911 and just said, ‘I think my baby swallowed half a battery,’ and they told me to give him a teaspoon of honey every 10 minutes and take him to the ER.”
While Frankie’s partner Luke found the other half of the battery later that morning, the terrified parents went to the hospital anyway in case their son had put one of the exploded battery parts in his mouth.
Frankie added: “At the hospital, one of the doctors sat down with me because I kept asking questions and they said, “Honestly, you don’t want to know what could have happened to him if he swallowed the battery. “
“He said sometimes people just don’t realize it and it’s already too late, and I just burst into tears. It could have turned out so differently.’
This isn’t the first time Frankie has had a health scare with her little one.
Last month, she revealed she had to rush her baby daughter to hospital after “finding a lump.”
And in October 2022, Logan underwent “terrifying” emergency surgery after a routine vaccination caused an abscess on his leg.
The reality star revealed that the five-month-old was rushed to hospital three times to cure the infection.

She further revealed that the little one had to stay in hospital for a few days to have the abscess removed, after being told by doctors that was the only option.
Frankie complained to her local GP practice after discovering that despite vaccinations being routine in babies, developing an abscess afterward was not the case.
