TOWIE star confirms they will be returning to the reality show after teasing exit

The Only Way Is Essex star Junaid Ahmed may have previously teased his departure from the show, but it looks like he's not going anywhere just yet.

Junaid said during an Instagram Q&A in September that he would fancy “another series or two” of the reality TV show “and then focus on other things.”

However, he has now said that he has “no plans to leave anytime soon.”

The reality TV star shared The sun this series was 'mental' but said 'it was nice to end it on a high note.'

The cast will resume filming in January, Junaid confirmed, and is currently on a break.

The 28-year-old said: 'I'm going back, we've got two more series. I love TOWIE, it's great, but don't get me wrong, it has dramatic moments for me more than anyone else.

“But I love it, I don't plan on leaving anytime soon.”

Despite planning to stay on TOWIE, Junaid said he also has his sights set on Celebrity Big Brother next year, as well as Celebs Go Dating.

His latest comments come after he spoke in September about whether he sees himself on TOWIE for a long time.

An Instagram follower asked during a Q&A: 'Do you see yourself on TOWIE for a long time? Are there any other things coming up?'

Junaid replied, “Absolutely not! I love TOWIE but I'd probably do another series or two and then concentrate on other things' The sun reported.

He continued: “I have some very exciting projects in the pipeline. I would never want to be someone on the show who has been at it for ten years and relies on the show.

“It's a great platform, but I need to spread my wings, darling.”

Series 32 of TOWIE was as eventful as ever, with Junaid becoming embroiled in a huge feud with Harry Derbidge as the season kicked off in Paphos, Cyprus, in September.

Things got very heated when the outspoken duo were spotted at a bar discussing the Ella Raw Wise and Dani Imbert feud they were involved in.

Harry, 29, and boyfriend Junaid had a brief romance in April before the pair decided they were better off as friends.
