A tourist claims she was gang-raped for five days after being abducted in Pakistan and dumped on the street with her hands and legs tied.
The 28-year-old woman was found lying on a street in Islamabad. A photo shows her hands tied behind her back and her ankles tied together.
She said the men who allegedly raped her threw her out of a vehicle in the city, where she was found by passers-by who called police, local media reported.
The woman, who claims to be a tourist from Belgium, was taken to hospital. She reportedly told police she had been in Pakistan for six months.
According to Pakistani media, police have now arrested a man and searched his apartment.

After investigators contacted the Belgian embassy to confirm the woman’s claims that she was a tourist, officials told them they had no records of the woman in Pakistan.
Pakistan’s security agency FIA confirmed this statement and said there is no trace of the woman who entered their country.
Officials from the Belgian embassy sent police to the Dutch embassy because the woman’s place of residence was said to be close to the border between Belgium and the Netherlands.
However, local police, who are investigating the woman’s claims, say they are confident she is not a foreigner.
The arrested man also told police that the woman was mentally unwell and that she did not have any identification on her, sources said.
This came two years after an American vlogger claimed she was gang-raped in a hotel in Pakistan by her guide and an accomplice who made videos of her to blackmail her.
Pakistani police arrested two people after the 21-year-old woman reported the attack in July 2022. She said the attack took place while she was visiting a tourist resort in the eastern province of Punjab.
Among those arrested was the woman’s host, who took her to a hotel in Dera Ghazi Khan, a district in Punjab province, where she was sexually assaulted, according to a police investigation.
According to police, the woman had arrived in Pakistan three weeks earlier.
This comes two years after an American vlogger claimed she was gang raped in a hotel in Pakistan by her guide and an accomplice (one of whom is pictured above in handcuffs) who made videos of her to blackmail her.
The woman had previously stayed for five days in the home of one of the alleged attackers, who local sources said was her “guide.”
The Free Press magazine reported at the time it saw the First Information Report (FIR) – a written document issued by the police when a case is first reported.
According to the Free Press Journal, the woman told police she was gang-raped by two men who filmed the attack and used it to blackmail her.
“We stayed in a hotel in Fort Monroe where both the accused raped me and also made a video of the act to blackmail me,” she alleged in the FIR.
She said one of the suspects threatened her after she went to the police.
