Female tourist, 28, is arrested after stripping NAKED and attending a sacred performance at Bali temple, parading alongside stunned dancers
- Darya Tuschinski, 28, organized the protest after being denied a ticket to the show
- She was arrested and now faces two years and eight months in prison
This is the shocking moment when a German tourist provoked rage by stripping naked and crashing a sacred performance in a temple in Bali – in a naked frenzy that could see her face in prison for nearly three years.
Darya Tuschinski, 28, was denied a ticket to a Hindu dance show before reportedly going through security and taking off her clothes in a bizarre protest.
The backpacker was caught on camera strode confidently past dancers before posing on the platform above them, forcing through a host of gilded doors.
When a local man tried to stop her, she bowed to him, as if mimicking the movements of the performers, before walking off the platform to kneel beside a shrine as if in prayer.
Shocked holidaymakers in the audience watched as the tourist continued her naked procession back onto the stage before security personnel intervened and the area was cleared of its ‘bad energy’.
Furious staff rushed to her and detained Darja for disrupting their show, before handing her over to police in the Ubud district of Indonesia’s popular resort island.

She now faces two years and eight months in prison if found to have violated the country’s public morality laws.
Stefanus Satake Bayu Setianto, Bali Police Head of Public Relations, said: ‘The incident of a naked female foreigner occurred on the stage of Puri Saraswati Hotel in Ubud, Gianyar Regency.
‘She lives alone. During her stay in Ubud Bungalow, she was often seen naked walking through the residential area.’
Staff at Saraswati Ubud Temple apologized to their visitors and performed a ritual to remove the “bad energy” from the area caused by the streaker.
The police took Darya to the station where they conducted a drug and alcohol test, but the results are yet to be released.
They believe that Darya had been struggling for money and became stressed when she was denied a ticket to the show, in which women in traditional outfits perform a dance in honor of their gods.
A ticket to the shows costs 100,000 Indonesian rupiah, or just over £5.40, according to the website.
City councilor Wayan Widana said Darja was suffering from “depression” because she ran out of money for her long journey.
