George, Charlotte and Louis may be royalty, but they’re still kids.

And their parents, Prince and Princess of Wales, may be our future King and Queen, but they are parents first.

Just two days after the Coroning, when William and Kate, along with their three children, visited the Upton Scout Group in Slough as they led the country on a day of volunteering.

At many times during the day – which was Louis’s first outing – seven-year-old Princess Charlotte called her mother Kate “Mommy” – a name William also uses to refer to his wife when talking to their little ones.

Prince Louis, five, appears to be calling out “Mama.” While Kate calls William ‘Daddy’ in front of the young royals.

However, Kate and William not only have their own surname, but also their children.

During the outing earlier this month, Kate was overheard calling her youngest son a very sweet nickname: “Lou Bug.”

As the Welsh got ready to roast marshmallows after their hard work was done, Kate was heard to say to her youngest, “Put that in the fire, Lou Bugs.”

Elsewhere, she was heard fondly praising the hard work of her ‘poppet’ as he put his best foot forward to help with the arduous tasks at hand.

But Louis is not the only one who has a nickname in their family, and in particular, she was given a nickname by her father, Prince William.

Charlotte’s sweet nickname was revealed in a video Kensington Palace released on Instagram, which showed the family of five at the 2019 Chelsea Flower Show.

As the three kids run around enjoying the outdoors, William called out for his daughter at one point, but instead of calling her Charlotte, he called out for “Mignonette.”

Mignonette is a French word said to mean “small, sweet and delicate” or “cute.”

The Princess of Wales opts for a simple yet classic nickname for her daughter, previously known to call her ‘Lottie’.
