Tottenham REJECT Bayern Munich’s latest £86m offer for Harry Kane, with the England striker likely to stay in the Premier League
- Bayern Munich have seen the ‘final’ bid of £86 million for Harry Kane rejected by Spurs
- It looks more and more likely that the England striker will make it through the final year of his contract
- The guaranteed portion of the offer, around £73 million, was considered too low
Tottenham Hotspur have rejected Bayern Munich’s latest £86 million bid for Harry Kane.
After the final round of talks between the two clubs last week, Bayern submitted a third bid for the England captain on Friday, but it has now been rejected.
Mail Sport revealed last month that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy valued Kane at £120 million – despite his contract having less than a year.
However, there was a feeling that Levy would accept a fee of almost £100 million given the prospect of losing Kane for nothing next summer.
However, Levy remains strong on what he sees as a fair deal for Kane and has rejected Bayern’s new offer.

Sources have indicated that the guaranteed portion – believed to be in the region of £73 million – of the proposed transfer fee in particular is deemed too low for Kane’s worth.
Bayern tried to impose a deadline on Friday night to advance the deal for Kane, but Levy responded by flying to the United States.
Kane has set his own personal deadline that he will commit to Tottenham this year if a deal is not struck with Bayern ahead of the season opener against Brentford on Sunday.
Kane scored four times in Tottenham’s 5-1 friendly victory over Shakhtar Donetsk on Sunday after playing a full part in pre-season preparations.
Spurs fans serenaded the striker with chants of ‘we want you to stay’ as Ange Postecoglou’s side put in an impressive performance ahead of the new season.
Bayern officials will hold a pre-scheduled meeting on Monday and alternative attackers are likely to be on the agenda.
Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic has emerged as Bayern’s likely next target if they give up the pursuit of England’s record goalscorer.
Kane has no plans to sign a contract this summer, but it’s clear he’d rather Spurs receive compensation if he moves.

Spurs hope progress under new manager Postecoglou can convince Kane to sign a contract extension with a release clause before he can go free next summer.
