Tottenham hope to tempt newly promoted Southampton to transfer Carlos Alcaraz in a swap deal this summer.
The Argentinian midfielder joined from Racing Club in January 2023 and scored eight goals in 47 games.
He was loaned to Juventus for the second half of last season and provided one assist in twelve games.
Southampton value the player at around £30 million and Spurs are hoping that sending a player the other way will be a solution.

David scored 26 goals in all competitions last season, including 19 in Ligue 1, and has also cemented his place as a regular for Canada on the international stage.
Since moving to Lille from Ghent, David has scored a total of 84 goals.
