a UEFA report has revealed that Tottenham earn the most money per match of any club in the Premier League.

The governing body released a financial report earlier this week, which is particularly pleasant reading for the North London club.

As calculated by financial expert Kieran Maguire, Spurs earn €5.6 million every matchday if we take into account gate receipts and the money spent by fans on matches, while also deducting how much it costs clubs to organize matches .

These figures highlight the benefits Spurs have reaped from moving to their new 62,850-seat stadium in 2019, making it the largest Premier League stadium in England.

The UEFA report looked at clubs in Europe’s top five divisions and concluded that only two teams earn more money per match than Tottenham.

Spanish giants Barcelona top the table with a profit of €7.6 million (£6.5 million) per match, while PSG are in second place with €6.6 million (£5.6 million) per match.

The next Premier League side on the list after Tottenham is Arsenal (£4.2m), who come in fifth place just behind Bayern Munich (£4.4m).

Manchester United and Liverpool are seventh and eighth respectively, with Real Madrid ahead of them in sixth.

AC Milan and Atletico Madrid complete the top 10, while three other English clubs feature in the top 15 when it comes to money-making.

Chelsea may be struggling on the pitch under Mauricio Pochettino, but they are still 12th in the UEFA table, just one place above defending Premier League champions Manchester City in 13th.
