‘The players are being skinned!’: Tottenham fans joke that the club is going to ‘Refund FC’ after imploding again early against Liverpool as they brought in ‘spineless and shameless’ players… before Spurs conceded the stoppage time winner
Fans have taken to social media to criticize Tottenham Hotspur after Ryan Mason’s side went three goals down in the first 15 minutes against Liverpool.
Goals from Curtis Jones, Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah saw Spurs capitulate in the opening stages at Anfield as Jürgen Klopp’s side dominated from the start.
After fighting back to make the game 3–3 with a 93rd minute header from Richarlison, Lucas Moura made a poor mistake to allow Diogo Jota to score a 94th minute winner, just 99 seconds after the Brazilian’s attack, the Reds won 4-3.
This comes just a week after the players refunded Tottenham fans following their 6-1 defeat to Newcastle United, leading to fans labeling the Londoners as ‘Refund FC’.
Things were looking good for Mason’s side, who bounced back from two goals against Manchester United last Thursday, but got off to a terrible start against Liverpool as their side were labeled ‘spineless’ by their own fans.

Twitter user Kevin A said: “In Tottenham Hotspur’s 141 year history, I have no doubt that they are the most spineless, shameless and disgraceful group of players to ever wear the Spurs shirt.”
Meanwhile, YouTuber Thogden admitted he felt sorry for the traveling fans, who left Anfield just 15 minutes later.
“Spurs fans traveled to Newcastle and left after 20 minutes,” he wrote. “The same Spurs fans traveled to Liverpool and leave after 15 minutes. You have to feel for them…”
Rival fans took the opportunity to ridicule Spurs, as one user labeled Spurs when a user joked, “Spurs get Refund FC hahah players get skinned.”
While another user hounded Tottenham with a photo of former boss Jose Mourinho, joking that the fans would look out to see when their refunds will arrive in their bank accounts this week.

Spurs fan account Last Word on Spurs shared a video of Antonio Conte’s famous pre-sack tirade, criticizing his players before declaring the Italian to be ‘perfect’.
Tottenham supporter Marc boldly stated that he hopes his side gets ‘battered’ as the players don’t make an effort.
He said: ‘Evicted at 1-0.. hope they get battered.. enough of watching such cowardly performances.. at least try. Make some effort to compensate for the complete lack of quality we seem to have.’
Other fans described the performance as ‘pity’ and ‘shameful’ as their quest for Champions League football takes another hit next season.
Harry Kane scored a consolation goal in the first half as the Londoners went into the break 3-1 at Klopp’s side. Son Heung-min then pulled back once more in the second half, before Richarlison headed home from a free kick – but more drama was to come.
