Tottenham could reportedly reject January bids for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Oliver Skipp despite their limited minutes this season.
That’s due to Rodrigo Bentancur’s crushing injury, with the midfielder ruled out for two months due to an ankle injury suffered in the 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa.
It was Bentancur’s first league start since February after a serious knee injury, but he joins a growing list of Spurs injured including fellow midfielder James Maddison, while Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma will be on Africa Cup duty in the new year of Nations.
As a result, Postecoglou has less depth than he would ideally like and could be forced to reject bids for Hojbjerg and Skipp, according to The Telegraph.
Juventus reportedly wanted to sign Hojbjerg, but that ambition could now be thwarted.

The Dane regularly comes off the bench but has only started two games this season, while Skipp only started the first game of the season against Brentford.
Dejan Kulusevski even dropped into midfield against Villa on Sunday, so hesitant is Postecoglou to play against them.
Hojbjerg has been a regular at Spurs since joining from Southampton in 2020, appearing in every match during his first season for the club.
Meanwhile, Skipp has been part of the club’s furniture since 2008, when he joined as a youth player, but the 23-year-old has never really cemented a place in the long-term team.

They have dropped to fifth in the Premier League and the worrying thing for Postecoglou will be that his side took the lead against Chelsea, Wolves and Villa but let their lead slip.
