Tottenham could offer Djed Spence and Joe Rodon to Nottingham Forest as part of £50 million rated Brennan Johnson negotiations
- Johnson is wanted by several parties and Brentford finds that two bids have been rejected
- Spence and Rodon are not expected to play key roles in Tottenham Hotspur’s season
- Micky van de Ven and Alejo Veliz have now started their inspections
Tottenham may offer Djed Spence and Joe Rodon in talks for Nottingham Forest winger Brennan Johnson, who is valued at £50 million.
Several Premier League sides are interested in Johnson, but Forest are unwilling to budge on the striker’s asking price.
Brentford has already seen bids rejected – the latest £40million – and it’s unclear if they will re-enter as they look for another attacker.
Spence and Rodon, meanwhile, are not expected to play a key role for Ange Postecoglou’s side this campaign and may leave the club before the end of the transfer window.
Spence spent the second half of last season on loan in France at Nice, while Rodon spent the year at Rennes.

A return to Nottingham would mark a sensational return to the club where he spent the 2021-2022 season and played a key role as Steve Cooper’s side were promoted back to the Premier League.
He earned a permanent move from Middlesbrough to Tottenham as a result of the campaign, but then manager Antonio Conte criticized the move and he made just six appearances for the club to date.
He made 10 appearances for Nice after joining in January but returned to Tottenham in the summer and is looking to join a new team.
Spurs signings, defender Micky van de Ven and striker Alejo Veliz, meanwhile, underwent the first part of their medicals on Monday as they move closer to their move.
Van de Ven was in the stands at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as he watched his soon-to-be new teammates shine in a pre-season win against Shakhtar Donestsk on Sunday.
He plans to join the club in a £43 million deal as Tottenham continue to reshuffle their rear as they try to recover from a disappointing season last season.
Veliz, meanwhile, is about to put pen to paper on a £12 million deal.
Expectations were high for Spence when he joined Tottenham, but he was loaned out for the second half of last season
