Tottenham have reportedly contacted Barcelona about a loan deal for their highly rated young winger Ansu Fati.
The 20-year-old stormed onto the scene during the 2019-20 season, scoring seven goals in LaLiga in 24 appearances before a knee injury curtailed his blistering progress.
The Spain international has struggled to match that form ever since, falling down the pecking order at Camp Nou as fellow starlets Pedri and Gavi rose to prominence.
As a result, the Spurs are ready to take a step forward and have started talks with the Spanish champion Fabrizio Romano.
He reports that Xavi’s side will require any potential suitor to pay 100 percent of his debt Ā£230,000 a week salary.

Chelsea are also reportedly interested in the 20-year-old, but have yet to take any action
The North Londoners, who suffered defeat in the second round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday evening, could face competition from Chelsea for his signature.
However, the Blues have not yet made a formal approach to the young star.
Having had his thunder stolen as the next prodigious talent by his Spanish international teammates, Fati has now been taken over by 16-year-old Lamine Yamal.
The right winger made his debut towards the end of last season and has appeared in each of the Catalan club’s first three games, recording two assists.
Tottenham face a race against time to secure a deal for Fati as the summer transfer window closes on Friday.
