Tottenham ‘are ADAMANT they will not sell Harry Kane to Manchester United this summer’

Tottenham Hotspur ‘are firmly convinced they will not sell Harry Kane to Manchester United this summer and would rather lose him on a free transfer next year’ – despite reports the England striker ‘only wants a transfer to Old Trafford’

  • Tottenham will reject any approach from Harry Kane to a domestic rival
  • Kane has been heavily linked with a possible move to Manchester United
  • Reports suggest United will try to negotiate a deal early in the window

Tottenham Hotspur are adamant they will not sell Harry Kane to a domestic rival in the summer, despite strong interest from Manchester United, according to reports.

The Red Devils have had the England captain as one of their main transfer targets for months and are considering a bid as the transfer window approaches.

Kane has one year left on his current North London contract, which would normally force a club to sell the player, and has therefore been linked with a departure.

However, the Evening Standard now suggest Kane should not be allowed to leave Spurs for another English club in the summer despite his expiring contract.

Instead, the club would prefer to see him leave on a free transfer next season.

The reports claim that Manchester United will test Tottenham’s resolve over Kane ‘early in the transfer window’, which is unlikely to convince Levy.

The Spurs chairman is also said to favor a move abroad for Kane, to Real Madrid, rather than joining one of their Premier League rivals.

However, it would take a lucrative bid from any club in Europe to convince the Tottenham chairman to part ways with the club’s all-time top goalscorer.

But it’s unlikely Kane would have any interest in leaving the Premier League, given that he’s just 47 goals away from equaling Alan Shearer’s record.
