Tottenham’s social media team have infuriated Arsenal fans with a post on X, formerly Twitter, following their 3-0 win over Qarabag.
In a match postponed by travel chaos, Ange Postecoglou’s side were reduced to ten men in the opening stages after Radu Dragusin’s European debut for the club ended in disaster when he was shown a straight red card after seven minutes.
Instead of taking a more conservative approach in the aftermath of the broadcast, the hosts went ahead against their Azerbaijani opposition.
Brennan Johnson continued his recent revival with a fine goal that put them ahead just minutes after Dragusin’s red card.
Spurs continued to press their advantage after the break with goals from Pape Matar Sarr and Dominic Solanke securing the win.

The post appeared to be a reference to north London rivals Arsenal, who adopted an extremely defensive approach after Leandro Trossard saw red against Manchester City on Sunday.
The Gunners had taken the lead just minutes before the Belgian’s dismissal, but their lead would ultimately be reversed after John Stones equalized in the dying moments of the match.
The apparent dig clearly didn’t go unnoticed by Arsenal fans, who were quick to respond in the comments.
One wrote: ‘Got four big chances. Please give them to Haaland and see what happens.”
Another added: ‘One against the best club in the world right now, and one against Qarabag, there is a level to this match.’
