Tottenham 3-1 Bournemouth: Pape Matar Sarr, Son Heung-min and Richarlison on target as victory sees Ange Postecoglou’s side go within one point of rivals Arsenal in the Premier League table

Tottenham 3-1 Bournemouth: Ange Postecoglou's side moved to within one point of rivals Arsenal in the Premier League with victory over Bournemouth on Sunday.

Despite their early season form having faltered of late, Postecoglou's side wasted no time in seizing the initiative on Saturday, with Pape Matar Sarr putting the hosts ahead after just nine minutes.

Although they maintained their lead for the opening 45 minutes, Spurs were dealt a blow before the break when Sarr was sent off injured and replaced by Oliver Skipp.

The 21-year-old was visibly distressed as he left the pitch, with his potential injury putting his place in Senegal's Africa Cup of Nations defense that starts next month in jeopardy.

Both sides enjoyed chances in the second half, but it was Spurs who would continue their momentum, with goals from Son Heung-min and Richarlison.

The visitors shot back through Alex Scott, but Spurs held on for three points.

Tottenham secured a third home win in a row with a comfortable victory over Bournemouth
