I’m a naked Tory MP trapped in a brothel… get me out of here! Politician calls senior colleague for help after he woke up at 4am and couldn’t find his clothes
- A Tory MP ‘woke up naked in a brothel and called another politician for help’
- The call was made during the latter part of Boris Johnson’s administration
When the senior Conservative’s phone rang at four in the morning, they answered with understandable trepidation: This had to be bad news.
On the other end of the line, a fuzzy-sounding Tory MP begged for help. “I’m in a brothel,” he declared to the half-asleep recipient. “I don’t know how I got here and I can’t find my clothes.”
The astonishing call, made during the latter part of Boris Johnson’s government, has started the rumor mill in the House of Commons, with MPs drawing up shortlists of the most likely candidates.
One MP said: ‘We all wonder: Who would your ‘call a friend’ be at 4am in a predicament? And our conclusion was: certainly not the person he called.’
Last night, a Tory source confirmed the incident, but remained tight-lipped about the MP’s identity.

The revelation comes amid a new wave of controversy over work culture in Westminster, with the hard-drinking lifestyle being blamed for a string of recent so-called ‘Pestminster’ incidents. Last week, the Metropolitan Police said it was no longer investigating allegations of sexual assault against Tory MP Julian Knight, who was suspended from the parliamentary party over the matter.
However, the Tory whips’ office said it would not reinstate Mr Knight as a Tory MP after “further complaints”. Mr Knight has claimed that ‘the Office of the Whips now appears to be planning a witch hunt against me’.
Last year it was alleged that a total of 70 complaints of inappropriate behavior had been lodged against 56 MPs. Parliament is exploring ways to address lifestyle issues faced by MPs and their staff, including burnout, employee mistreatment and misconduct.
