Toronto FC star Lorenzo Insigne was spotted arguing and cursing at one of his side’s fans during their recent MLS match.

Insigne’s side suffered a 3-2 defeat to FC Cincinnati on Saturday evening after Brandon Vazquez and Aaron Boupendza struck to seal all three points for the visitors.

It was another disappointing result for Toronto, who currently sit bottom of the Eastern Conference table – with just 22 points from 31 games.

And the fanbase’s growing concerns boiled over on Saturday night when Insigne – who is currently injured – collided with one of Toronto’s supporters.

In a video that has now gone viral on X (formerly Twitter), the Italian can be seen shouting and swearing in the direction of the home supporters.

He shouts: ‘Hey, f*** you! Respect!’ before returning and heading towards the company seating area.

It is unclear what sparked the argument that took place on the BMO field midway through the match.

Twice during the match, Toronto came from behind – to level the match – before Boupendza scored the all-important winner in the 72nd minute.

Insigne has spent two years in MLS since leaving Napoli in 2022, scoring 11 goals and providing six assists in his 32 appearances.

It comes as the latest unsavory story involving the club after Toronto and Italy midfielder Federico Bernardeschi was repeatedly reprimanded in May for vaping around the team.

Reports from The Athletic add that the incidents involving the 29-year-old midfielder, who is paid £5.16 million a year ($6.3 million), occurred despite him being told to quit several times.

Italy international Bernardeschi – who has 39 caps to his name – is one of the standout names for Toronto, scoring three times in 14 games so far this season.
