Tori Spelling wants to make it clear that her divorce from 57-year-old Dean McDermott is not the typical ‘ugly’ Hollywood spectacle.
“We’re really friendly,” she said. “I know people in Hollywood think divorces have to be ugly, but ours doesn’t.”
The couple share five children together: Liam, 17, Stella, 16, Hattie and Finn, 12, and Beau, seven.
“We co-parent really well, we’re good friends and he’s one of my biggest supporters,” Tori – who looked stunning at the annual Gala of Stars – said People.
The Beverly Hills 90210 star, 51, filed for divorce from the Chopped Canada host in March, citing irreconcilable differences.

Spelling and McDermott married in 2006 and have had a tumultuous relationship in recent years, for which Dean takes full responsibility.
“All Tori has done to this day is want me to be happy and healthy, and I caused a lot of damage and pain to that woman,” he told DailyMail.com in November 2023.

By the time he hit rock bottom, Dean says the duo were living as “roommates” and plagued by money worries and paparazzi, while he was deeply depressed, using only tequila and drugs every night and spiraling into alcohol-fueled fits of rage that were his ” petrified’. 50 year old wife and children.

Meanwhile, Tori opened up about how she’s balancing work and motherhood, admitting: “It’s not easy.”
‘But hey, we all do it. My children are very supportive,” she said. “The older ones now take care of the little ones, so it’s kind of a built-in community in our household.”

Tori and her partner Pasha Pashkov were among the first eliminated from the ABC dance competition on September 24, and while her kids may not admit it, they’re happy to have mom back full-time.
“I’m just a mother again now,” she said. “They are happy that I can be their Uber driver and pick them up anytime now, I don’t have to dance.”
