Tori Spelling reveals she still has two of her kids’ placentas in the freezer… SEVEN years after last giving birth

Tori Spelling revealed that she still has two of her children’s placentas in the freezer, despite last giving birth to her youngest child, son Beau McDermott, in 2017.

During Friday’s episode of her Spelling error podcast, the 51-year-old reality star admitted she wasn’t “sure which” of her children’s placentas were “in there.”

‘There are two [placenta in the freezer]’, she told her listeners. ‘Unless I have the largest placenta in the world, there are two vessels in it.’

Explaining why she was still retaining her placenta, Spelling insisted it was normal to “freeze” them.

“They say it’s good luck to eat it, or it’s good luck to bury it, or it’s good luck to mail it and make it into powder and put pills in it,” the mother of five said. “I’m just too lazy to mail it. It’s a thing.”

She continued, “It’s good for your body. They take it out of your body and it’s good to put it back in.”

The former 90210 Beverly Hills doctor insisted she had no idea whether the placentas were from her pregnancies with Liam (17), Stella (16), Hattie (12) or Finn (11). She also noted that other placentas had been “lost” during previous moves over the years.

However, Spelling did reveal that she was definitely still in possession of her placenta from Beau’s pregnancy.

Strangely enough, the best-selling author revealed that the placenta from her most recent pregnancy was kept at her best friend’s house.

“I really feel sorry for my best friend Jess because [Beau’s] is still in her freezer,” the actress said. “She obviously came to the hospital the day Beau was born. She comes to the hospital every birth… But because I had a caesarean section and there were complications, Beau had something [where] we had to stay in the hospital for a while.”

She remembers asking her friend Jess at the time, “Can you take the placenta home with you, because they gave it to me and I don’t know what to do with it?” So, like a true best friend, she took him home.

Despite her generosity in taking the placenta home, Spelling admitted she tested Jess’s patience by not retrieving the placenta.

“I feel like she’s asked me to take that back a couple of times over the last seven years, and I say, ‘Yeah, the next time I’m there, and then no more,'” Spelling mused. “I’m not taking it back, but I’m going to. I’m going to at some point.”

Admission to Spelling comes after Spelling revealed she would like to have another child.

“I would love to have another baby,” said Tori, who is in the middle of a divorce from Dean McDermott.

The conversation began after guest Sara Evans, 53, explained that she would “love to get pregnant again,” prompting Spelling to interject: “Same, my friend!”

“There’s no better time in your life than when you bring the baby home,” Sara said. “I never complained about lack of sleep, none of that, I loved it.”

Spelling admitted that she was “fully menopausal” and expressed regret for not freezing her eggs.

McDermott first announced their separation in a since-deleted Instagram post shared in June 2023.

Earlier this year, Spelling revealed that she stayed in her marriage “longer” than she should have because she didn’t want him to feel “emasculated.”

‘We are not just women who make money, we are women who have power, we are women who have fame, I don’t know any other way. I feel guilty,” she said during a conversation on her podcast with Shannen Doherty.

Tori then shared her concerns about meeting a future partner, expressing uncertainty and vulnerability.

“How can I ever be with a man without him feeling inferior because of my status?” she told Shannen.

Shannen was confident that Tori could find a partner who would appreciate her achievements, but Tori had a different perspective.

“I don’t agree with you,” she began. “Every man I’ve ever been in a relationship with, I always say, ‘There’s a lot of shit that comes with me.'”

Tori also opened up about the explosive fight between her and Dean that led to their split, during which the actress slammed a baked potato on the floor.

The actress said she and Dean got into an argument after returning home from a day on set in June 2023.

Dean allegedly insulted her in a way that he knew would be really hurtful to hear.

The actress did not specify what exactly Dean said, but she remembers that his comment affected her deeply. She said it was so bad that she angrily threw a stuffed baked potato she was preparing onto the kitchen floor.

“This guttural scream came out of me,” Tori recalled. “It wasn’t even a sexy scream, like running in a horror movie. It was beastly. It wasn’t pretty at all.’

‘And I was like, ‘F*** you!’ And I grabbed my most prized possession at the time, my baked potato. It was filled to the brim and I threw it on the floor.”

After her outburst, a wave of regret washed over Spelling. She retreated to a bedroom, remembering that she and Dean had been sleeping apart for about three years, a decision she attributed to him.

An ‘excited’ Dean started banging on the locked door before entering the bedroom through an outside door that Tori had overlooked.

“So he came in and he was very, very upset. And he said, ‘I want a divorce. This is over.’ And I said, ‘Okay. Great. Okay.'”

That same day, Tori recalls, Dean publicly announced their separation in an Instagram post, something she only learned about when her 15-year-old daughter informed her.

She added: ‘It felt like this giant rock was lifted off my chest. I could take a deep breath and think, “Oh my God. He said it, so now I’m free.” . . He did it, and now I can move on. He put it out there. Let’s go. Yeah. I needed this.’ ‘I couldn’t do it myself.’

Dean deleted the post the next morning, but by then news of the split had gone viral. The couple “just carried on as if nothing had happened.”
